High-Profile Arrested Tax Official Released Quietly
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that on October 19 of last year, the police's main department for combating organized crime arrested Suren Eloyan, head of the tax inspection department for small taxpayers at the State Revenue Committee (SRC), along with his deputy Samson Arakelyan and inspector Vagarshak Lalayan, on charges of demanding and receiving bribes.
A criminal case was opened against a group of officials, accused of demanding and accepting large sums in bribes with preliminary agreement.
Notably, Suren Eloyan, who was arrested with great fanfare and later detained, has recently been released quietly and is currently enjoying his time in Moscow, according to certain sources.
