Desire to Include Medical Care for Children Aged 7-18 in State Order: Torosyan

The Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan, today met with Tanya Radocai, the head of UNICEF’s office in Armenia. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

The discussions focused on the health challenges and priorities for children, as well as areas for future collaboration.

“Currently, the budget discussions for 2020 are underway, and there is a strong desire to include medical care for children aged 7-18 in the state order. Depending on financial capabilities, this could be implemented either next year or in 2021. In any case, there will be significant ongoing growth in the budgets for mothers and children,” Arsen Torosyan stated.

UNICEF representatives noted that a multifaceted study is planned, which will address issues related to child nutrition, growth, development, and other health-related matters.
