Condition of Roads in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of April 19 at 23:20, the roads in Armenia are passable.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to traverse.

In Gegharkunik Province, in the Vardenyats Pass, as well as in the city of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province, in the Saravan-Zanger section, in the city of Hrazdan in Kotayk Province, in Dilijan in Tavush Province, in Sisian and Goris cities in Syunik Province, and in the area known as "Meghri Mountain", there are snowfalls. In the city of Kajaran, in the village of Karmirqar and in the area known as "Meghri Mountain", there is fog.

According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Work is Ongoing

Since June 30, 2018, up to April 19 of this year, construction works have been ongoing at the 139th kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri road (near the city of Vayk in Vayots Dzor Province), resulting in a roughly 200 meter section being closed to heavy vehicles.
