Video: There are people living under privileged conditions in penitentiary institutions, says Pashinyan

During today’s government meeting, the decision to increase the number of staff in the penitentiary service by 30 was not approved, which was aimed at preventing the escape of convicts or the transfer of prohibited items to them.

In response to the Prime Minister’s question about how many vacant positions exist in the penitentiary service, Zeynalyan replied that there are several hundred. Pashinyan reacted by asking why these vacant positions are not being redistributed to other areas and why no redistribution is being done. Zeynalyan explained that if this were the case, it would deviate from the norms set for other penitentiary institutions.

The Prime Minister also addressed the issues present in the penitentiary institutions.
