VIDEO: Haik Marutyan Arrived at the Government at the Invitation of the Prime Minister

Yerevan Mayor Haik Marutyan arrived at the government at the invitation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to clarify issues regarding the second waste collection operator.

The mayor stated that at the initial stage, the performance of 'Sanitek' was normal; however, incorrect operations led to the current situation. Initially, the operations were smooth, as there were no technical issues, and the vehicles were functioning well and were new. 'We have repeatedly warned them that the condition of their vehicles cannot continue like this. If one or two vehicles break down in the administrative area where they are supposed to serve, it creates problems. We warned them that these issues need to be resolved; they said they were not able to because of their very poor financial situation. We put out a tender for 24 garbage trucks that the city of Yerevan needs to acquire.'
