Starting Today, Parents Can Register Their Children for Kindergarten Online in Yerevan

The online registration for kindergartens is a new feature of the website mankapartez.yerevan.am, allowing parents to register their children in any kindergarten run by the Yerevan municipality from home, their workplace, or any other location.

This was announced by the Yerevan municipality.

“With any device that can access the internet—be it a phone, tablet, or computer—our citizens have the opportunity to enroll their children in kindergarten. The process can take just 3-4 minutes. This is another step by the city administration to make our citizens' daily lives easier,” said Deputy Mayor Sergey Harutyunyan.

“When the registration process was closed and took place behind the scenes, thousands of citizens were unaware of how the registration process worked, who benefited from privileges, and when their child's turn would come. In this regard, the mayor issued a clear directive: to find ways to make the process as transparent as possible,” said Deputy Mayor Tigran Virabyan.

To send an online application for kindergarten registration, one must first register on the website by providing an email address and a mobile phone number, to which a confirmation message will be sent. Using your password, you can then start the registration process as a user.

“For online registration, three pieces of information need to be entered: the child's birth certificate serial number and number, the date of issue, and the child's birth month and date. Verification is conducted, after which it is necessary to select the kindergarten and attach copies of the parent's passport, the child's birth certificate, and the document confirming registration, which can be photographed with a phone,” stated Sona Manukyan, the project manager at the Yerevan Municipality’s Technology Management Center.

“The application is sent to our center and is confirmed within two working days. If questions arise, feedback is provided to clarify with citizens. The most important idea here is that parents can see the registration number of their child’s turn two days after submitting the application. Only the parent who logged in with their details can see their child's name; the information of other children is hidden. Only their registration number is visible. A more transparent method has never existed,” noted Sergey Harutyunyan.

Information about a child's queue will be received through a call, email, or other tools included in the program.

The website provides a guide for the registration process, as well as an accompanying video.

You can find answers to frequently asked questions, such as the age at which registration occurs and what documents are needed, on the mankapartez.yerevan.am website. Information about the number of registered children is also available here.

While online registration will lessen citizens' burdens and save them time, the main goal of the municipality is to ultimately resolve the issue, eliminate queues in kindergartens, and create equal opportunities for all children.

“This is a time-consuming task, but I want to reassure you that it is a top priority for the city government and one of the most important issues we have committed to solving completely. This comprehensive program is being implemented to restore citizens' trust in the city administration,” the deputy mayor emphasized.
