It is revealed how many employees will be reduced as a result of optimization: 'Zhoghovurd'

'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports: The draft law on the structure and activities of the government, which assumes a reduction in the state apparatus, became a subject of heated discussions in parliament yesterday.

Representatives of opposition factions insisted that the government did not present specific figures on how many people would be laid off due to optimizations and how much money would be saved.

The authorities assured that layoffs would not occur immediately.

'Zhoghovurd' newspaper clarified that among the ministries subject to reorganization, the Ministry of Agriculture has 130 positions, the Ministry of Culture has 110 positions, the Ministry of Diaspora has 80 positions, and the same number of positions is found in the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. Initially, 78 individuals will be laid off, including deputy ministers and heads of departments. Afterward, departments will be merged, and the assessment of employees' work will be conducted based on a points system, at which point the actual layoffs will take place.
