Inspections Underway at 71 Gas Filling Stations: State Revenue Committee
The State Revenue Committee is conducting various monitoring activities at 71 business entities operating gas filling stations across Armenia. These measures include operational-search activities at 35 of the entities to uncover risks of tax violations and verify the actual sales volumes of fuel. The monitoring activities are currently in progress, as reported by the Committee's information and public relations department.
As a result of these inspections at individual business entities, actual volumes of gas sold and electricity consumption are being recorded daily at the gas filling stations. This enables ongoing comparative analyses that lead to the creation of relevant materials concerning any discrepancies that arise, which are then forwarded to investigative bodies for further action.
Thus far, specific discrepancies have already surfaced at four business entities regarding the volumes of gas received versus the actual volumes sold. Relevant documents have been prepared and sent to the investigative department of the State Revenue Committee.
The State Revenue Committee urges all operators of gas filling stations to comply with tax legislation requirements. The Committee also informs that any trends of decline in performance metrics are under the scrutiny of tax authorities, and monitoring activities will continue to be ongoing.
