Explosive Devices Found in Nurnus Village

On April 18, at 17:37, the emergency hotline number 911 received a report indicating that an explosive device resembling a grenade was discovered during agricultural work in one of the summer cottages in the Nurnus village of Kotayk Province, specifically in the gardens of Yuorts neighborhood on 2nd Street. Assistance from rescue services was required.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched a combat unit to the scene, alongside an engineering group from the civil defense department.

In the vicinity of the summer cottages on 2nd Street in the Yuorts neighborhood of Nurnus, a 62 mm mortar shell, three fragmentation grenades, components of an AK-47, and two cartridges (5x45 mm) along with an unidentified explosive powder were discovered.

The rescuers secured the area. Bomb disposal experts from the Armenian Ministry of Defense's unit N transported the found munitions.
