13,469,475 AMD: Deputy Minister of Social Affairs' Financial Assets

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Smbat Saiyan, has submitted his annual declaration for 2018 to the Commission for Ethics of High-Ranking Officials. The deputy minister did not declare any real estate or movable property.

The declaration contains only information about financial assets, income, and loans.

At the end of the 2018 tax year, his loan amount was $3,400 and $10,000.

As of both the beginning and the end of the 2018 tax year, his financial assets totaled 10,000,000 AMD. The total income received by the deputy minister in AMD amounted to 13,469,475 AMD. From this income, 6,733,748 AMD was derived from his salary. Additional amounts of 1,735,727 AMD and 5,000,000 AMD stemmed from loans received.

The interest earned from loans provided is mentioned as being $210 in a separate section. Smbat Saiyan was appointed as Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs in June 2018,” reports the newspaper.
