You are all acting like monkeys together. The widow of the slain policeman addresses 'Sasna Tsrer'

In July 2016, Gagik Mkrtchyan, who was injured in the Patrol Service Detachment, died in the hospital not only from a hand injury but also from abdominal wounds. This was stated today, April 17, at the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court in Shengavit by Mkrtchyan's wife, Hasmik Voskanyan, who is the legal successor of the victim.

According to News.am, the woman recounted to the court that on the morning of July 17, 2016, around 07:30, her husband's friend came to their house and said that Gagik was feeling unwell, had fallen and injured his hand, and did not want to go into surgery until he saw her, his wife. Voskanyan mentioned that she saw her husband after the surgery. "I saw my husband; he was saying that everything would be fine, just that his hand was hurt, he was only worried about not being able to go to his second job; he was doing renovations. He was saying, 'How will I support my son?'" Voskanyan recounted, noting that her husband likely only spoke about his hand injury because they had spared him from being told that his abdomen was also injured, even though Mrs. Voskanyan was aware of everything.

Hasmik Voskanyan stated that at that time she was unaware of what was happening in the city and did not even know about the takeover of the Patrol Service Detachment, adding that in the following days, her husband told her some details about the incident.

"He said that around 6:30, they heard noise, thought there had been an accident, went to help, and then they heard gunshots. He probably checked on the cameras; he said, 'I locked the doors, called an ambulance, and a rescue service came.' During this time, the gunshots kept ringing. They came to open the door, but he did not open it. They gave their surname, but still, he did not open it. If I am not mistaken, they opened the outside door with gunfire to enter the guards' area, and at that time, there was an argument. I asked, and he said there were three people—one was short and hairy, another was a bit taller, looking like a beetle," she said, noting that she found out after the second surgery that her husband had died.

Voskanyan said that some time after her husband's death, she saw an interview with the wife of Pavel Manukyan, in which, according to her account, she stated that the person who was injured in the hand should consider how he reached the hospital and became injured in the belly.

"As if cold water were poured over my head, as if you all thought until now that Gagik was only injured in the hand? Did any of you lift Gagik's shirt to see the wound, that all of you together like monkeys are standing and saying that it was only his hand that was injured?" the widow of the policeman declared, addressing the defendants.

It should be noted that Armen Bilian, a member of the group, is accused of the murder of Gagik Mkrtchyan.
