Most Officials Are Enclosed, Uncommunicative, Arrogant, and Disregarding Others: Fact

According to the "Fact" newspaper, it regularly receives information from various regions, communities, and organizations that interactions with most ministers have become almost impossible.

The concern is not about ordinary citizens, but rather about mayors regarding the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development, and school principals concerning the Minister of Education and Science, among others. Overall, dissatisfaction is widespread.

This fact is also confirmed in a conversation with the President of the Union of Employers of Armenia, Gagik Makaryan. He stated, "Most officials are enclosed, uncommunicative, arrogant, and disregarding others," adding that many ideas have been accepted in the government program, and discussions have taken place, yet the relevant responsible bodies continue to ignore the issues.

"For example, the Ministry of Education and Science was supposed to hold consultations every quarter, and there is a special commission led by the Minister of Education. It has been 14 months without a single meeting. We had a similar meeting in Social Affairs in July, but again it has been 10 months without any meetings," he noted, emphasizing that if a responsibility falls under the mandate of the ministers, it must be executed.

"However, among the new ministers, such approaches are still absent," he added. According to our information, especially in the regions, the problem is exacerbated in that it is often impossible to obtain any clarification on an issue or program, as region governors, to put it mildly, do not possess the necessary knowledge about the topics and frequently cannot raise questions properly before the government.
