I Clearly Promised at the Barbed Wires That Police Salaries Would Increase: Nikol Pashinyan

In a video from April 16 of last year, I clearly promised at the barbed wires that police salaries would increase. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on his Facebook page.

In his post, the Prime Minister specifically mentioned:

“I want to emphasize that the promise has been fulfilled and the salaries of police officers have been increased by an average of 20 percent. Moreover, with the new incentive system, there are police employees who now receive salaries that are double or even triple the average, especially when specific crimes are solved due to their personal efforts. I would like to remind you that salaries of polyclinic workers have increased by up to 30 percent, and around 208,000 people's salaries have risen since July 1 of last year due to changes in the cumulative pension system. This year, on July 1, the salaries of military personnel will increase, and the salaries of teachers will be raised on September 1 of this year, along with increases in pensions and benefits for 82,000 beneficiaries and pensioners.

In the first quarter, the revenue part of the state budget was over-fulfilled by 4 percent, and the number of registered jobs has increased by around 50,000, which is about 9 percent of the labor market.

In the near future (and also later), I will address all the promises I have made and their implementation progress.”
