Anti-Tank Mine Discovered in Shirak Province

On April 16, at 19:44, the emergency hotline 911 received information about the discovery of a mine along the road from the village of Haikavan to the village of Voghji, near the sand quarries.

A firefighting-rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and an operational group from the regional rescue administration were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that an U-TM-62P3 type anti-tank mine had been discovered in the right side of the ditch at the 1st km of the Haikavan-Voghji road.

The rescuers have secured the area.

From 20:48, officers from the Akhuryan police department have been on duty to ensure public safety.
