Ambulance Service Budget to Increase by 1 Billion Drams

The budget for the ambulance service is expected to increase by 1 billion drams, raising it from 3 billion to 4 billion drams. This announcement was made by Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan during a government hour in the National Assembly on April 17, in response to a question from Lilith Grigoryan, a MP from the ‘Bright Armenia’ party.

“Next year, we plan to raise it by one billion drams. This will allow us to maintain more ambulance teams, and in turn, it will enable us to hospitalize a larger number of people from the regions to the capital when necessary,” the minister clarified.

Moreover, he noted that as a result of the budget increase, they may also raise the salaries of the ambulance team employees.
