Pashinyan's Acquaintance Arranged Fake Schengen Visas for 49 People: 'Zhamanak'

'Zhamanak' newspaper writes: 'Certain manifestations of patronage, it turns out, still persist in the new Armenia. The favorites of the new authorities also receive privileges.

According to the information we received, former opposition figure Garsevan Khachatryan, who was once close to Nikol Pashinyan, was sentenced in March 2018 for transporting 49 people to Europe using fake Schengen visas. He was released in July 2018, shortly after the revolution.

This means that the individual remained in custody for only two months for arranging fake Schengen visas for 49 people, after which he was freed from accountability.'
