Multi Gaz Owned by Tsarukyan to Face Administrative Fine

The Deputy Head of the Market Surveillance Inspection Body, Arthur Mkrtchyan, stated in an interview with "Armenian Times" that violations have been discovered based on complaints and subsequent inspections.

"The issue was related to the density coefficient, which in the last 15 days has risen from 0.7 to 0.8 at 'Gazprom'. These gas stations had left the density coefficient at the same 0.7 level. During our inspections and after the government meeting, when the Prime Minister urged to comply with the law, it turned out that violations had mainly decreased. Dissatisfaction has significantly diminished. The National Assembly also passed a draft law regarding the sale of gas by weight, which has been ratified by the president and will come into force on May 1, solving the issue by 99 percent. Consumers will pay for exactly how much gas they refill," Mkrtchyan said.

In a conversation with the media, Mkrtchyan noted that violations were found at both the 'Multi Gaz' gas station and the Noragavit gas station owned by the 'Lil Star' company. He mentioned that these companies will be subject to an administrative fine, which is estimated to be around 50,000 to 100,000 drams.
