Is DAVID SANASYAN, Head of the State Oversight Service, a Suspect?

According to information from "Factinfo," David Sanasyan, the head of the State Oversight Service (SOS), has been involved as a suspect in a criminal case concerning SOS employees. A preventive measure has been chosen against him, consisting of a signature not to leave the country.

In response to a query from the website, the NSS press center neither confirmed nor denied the information, promising to respond later.

It should be recalled that within the framework of a criminal case initiated regarding the alleged unlawful interference in the state procurement process and creating obstacles for legitimate business activities by officials of the RA State Oversight Service, charges have been brought against three individuals.

On February 27, 2019, the temporary head of the procurement process monitoring department of the State Oversight Service, Samvel Adiayan, and his department employee Gevorg Khachatryan were charged under Part 2 of Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code (abuse of official powers resulting in serious consequences through negligence) and Part 2 of Article 325 (forgery of documents by a group of individuals by prior agreement). Charges have also been brought against Taron Avetisyan, a representative of "Zorashen" LLC, for assisting in the abuse of official powers and forgery of documents.
