Director of Vahagn Outpatient Clinic Transferred to Yerevan by Emergency Helicopter

The emergency helicopter has today transferred another critically ill patient from the Vanadzor Medical Center to the Erebuni Hospital.

Vahagn Mkrtchyan, the director of the medical center, informed Hayastani Zhamanak that the patient is Ashot Hakobyan, the director of the Vahagn Health Center in Lori Province, who was admitted to the hospital yesterday in critical condition. “The patient was suffering from heart failure, the situation was severe. We provided appropriate medical assistance, stabilized the condition, and called for the helicopter this morning. We organized the transfer to Yerevan quickly,” he said.

This is the second critically ill patient being transferred from Vanadzor to Yerevan by helicopter. During the helicopter’s landing in the hospital yard, law enforcement officers are also present for safety reasons.
