Petro Poroshenko Sends Greetings to Nikol Pashinyan

The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, addressed reporters at the "Olympic" stadium in Kyiv, where the debate between leading presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky following the first round of elections was to take place.

In response to a question from an Armenian journalist, the incumbent President of Ukraine conveyed greetings to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and noted that he sees cooperation between Ukraine and Armenia in several sectors.

"We have already met many times during international conferences. I want to emphasize that the President of Ukraine fully supports the reform program of Armenia's new Prime Minister. I am confident that our relations have great potential, primarily in the economic sector, as well as in people-to-people contacts and cultural cooperation. I sincerely wish that Mr. Pashinyan succeeds in everything," said Poroshenko.

Commenting on the Armenian diaspora in Ukraine, he expressed confidence that Armenian citizens in Ukraine feel at home.
