Tense Situation in Zartonk Village of Armavir. Gunfire Reported. 4 Injured

Today, a tense situation has developed in Zartonk village of Armavir province, with reports of gunfire. Currently, it is known that there are 4 injured individuals, although their identities remain unknown. Villagers have blocked the road, demanding the dismissal of the school principal and the eradication of illegal activities in the village, as well as the arrest of those responsible for these offenses and those who have subjected villagers to violence.

According to one resident, the assailant who fired shots and injured a villager, who was a participant in the April Four-Day War, has fled the scene, prompting the villagers to demand police apprehension of the suspect. Zartonk's village head, Paruyr Sargsyan, described a different picture to SHANTNEWS.am. He stated that protesters had attacked the house of the school principal early this morning, as well as the parents of the injured boy from yesterday's clashes. The village head mentioned that the injured boy is currently at 'Erebuni' hospital. He insisted, 'These people are paid 5,000 to 10,000 drams daily to participate in protests.' The village head stated that he does not intend to resign.
