2 Injured by Shotgun Blast in Zartonq Village

The police issued a statement today, April 13, regarding an incident involving gunfire that occurred in Zartonq village, Armavir region.

The police report states:

“In the early morning of April 13, a call was received at the Metsamor police department indicating that an incident involving a group of individuals had occurred in Zartonq village. During the event, one participant discharged a hunting shotgun. Officers from the Metsamor police department quickly responded to prevent any potentially irreversible consequences of the incident.

Additionally, the police neutralized the individual who fired the shotgun and detained him along with several other participants of the incident. Five individuals involved in the incident sought medical assistance.

According to preliminary assessments, two of them sustained injuries from shotgun pellets. Officers from several police units are on the scene to monitor the operational situation.”
