Armenia Welcomes Italian Chamber of Deputies' Resolution on Armenian Genocide

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has issued a statement regarding the adoption of a resolution on the Armenian Genocide by the Italian Chamber of Deputies.

“Armenia welcomes the decision of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, which reaffirmed Italy's commitments and obligations under the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

The decision adopted by the Italian Parliament is yet another significant contribution to the international community's efforts to respect and restore the rights of the Armenian people who suffered genocide.

The raising of awareness regarding the Armenian Genocide by the Italian Parliament sends an important message aimed at preventing genocides and other crimes against humanity,” the Ministry's statement reads.
