Zohrapyan Was on Pashinyan's 'Black List' Since Yerevan Mayor Elections

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a meeting with the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, stated that the 'anti-transgender' uproar was a campaign orchestrated against them by the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and that a proportionate response was necessary.

Moreover, just yesterday, tax inspections and searches were conducted at the Arinj Mall, which the BHK labeled as political persecution. Prior to this, Pashinyan publicly cast doubt on Zohrapyan's suitability for the position of Human Rights Defender.

It is noteworthy that according to the law, Zohrapyan can only be removed from the position of chairman of the National Assembly's permanent committee at his own request or if the BHK decides that the committee assigned to him under the Donth resolution should be led by someone else.

Recall that Zohrapyan appeared on Pashinyan's 'black list' during the Yerevan mayoral elections when he criticized the new authorities and conducted anti-propaganda against Hayk Marutyan.
