Will Arthur Vanetsyan Apologize to Sedrak Kocharyan? Details
“There has been no demand for an apology. At this moment, I cannot say whether I agree with the court's decision or not; if lawyers see that the court's decision cannot be appealed, then of course we must accept this decision and comply with it,” said NSS Director Arthur Vanetsyan during a conversation with reporters, in response to the question of whether he would apologize to Sedrak Kocharyan.
Vanetsyan also added that there has been a court decision, according to which the presumption of innocence has been violated. “This issue will be examined by the lawyers, and if there is no decision to appeal to the Court of Appeals within the deadline, then of course all requirements stipulated by law will be fulfilled.”
Let us recall that on February 19, 2019, the National Security Service released an official statement titled “Criminal Case Regarding Sedrak Kocharyan,” which stated that incidents of significant tax evasion and money laundering had been uncovered, directly involving the son of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, Sedrak Kocharyan.
