Everything is Legal: Pashinyan on the Instructions Regarding His Relative's Criminal Case

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has made a statement on his Facebook page in response to a post on March 4, regarding the initiation of a criminal case on the basis of alleged misconduct by one of his close relatives, which he instructed. Below is the post:

"Dear all, I have given instructions to process the operational information received in accordance with the law, as a result of which a criminal case has been initiated.

The instruction was given to a body subordinate to the Prime Minister. Everything is in order, everything is legal.

Thank you for your concerns."

Earlier, we reported that during a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan commented on the Prime Minister's post, stating, "The Criminal Procedure Code has clear boundaries regarding who can give what instructions within the framework of criminal proceedings. But I am not familiar with the specific case."
