Road Conditions Update

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of April 4 at 09:00, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is closed only for trucks with trailers, while it is difficult for others to pass.

The Vardenyats Pass is difficult for trucks with trailers.

There is black ice present on sections of the Vanadzor-Dilijan, Aparan-Aragats in Aragatsotn province, and Lanjik-Mastar in Shirak province roads.

In the area known as "Meghri mountain" in Syunik province, there is snowfall.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

On March 28, a landslide occurred on the Tatev-Aghvani road in Syunik province, resulting in a section of about 11-12 km being passable only in one direction since 20:30.

Since June 30, 2018, construction works have been underway at the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri road, causing approximately 200 meters to be unidirectionally closed for trucks.
