Fire Breaks Out at the House of the Head of Panik Community Administration
An emergency incident occurred in the Shirak Province. At around 00:20 on March 27, the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service received a call at its 9-11 operational management center reporting that a fire had broken out in one of the houses in the village of Panik, according to shamshyan.com.
Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reports that the Artik firefighting and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene with two fire teams led by shift supervisor Hovhannisyan.
It was determined that the fire had ignited in the roof of number 6 on 3rd lane of 3rd street in the same village. Firefighters and local residents first prevented the fire from spreading and then extinguished it. The operational unit of the Artik police department, headed by senior inspector Galstyan of the community police department, also arrived at the scene. Investigations are ongoing in the Artik police department regarding the incident. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries due to the fire.
According to G. Shamshyan, the house belongs to 44-year-old Norayr Arakelyan, the head of the Panik community administration.
