Car Goes Off Road and Slips into Gorge Due to Black Ice
On March 26, at 06:36, the 911 service received a call reporting that an "Opel" car had gone off the highway and slipped into a gorge (approximately 3 meters) near the village of Rya Taza in the Aragatsotn region due to black ice. Assistance from rescuers was needed.
A firefighting-rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that the "Opel" car (driven by O.A., a citizen of Georgia) had left the roadway at the 6th kilometer of the Alagyaz-Aparan highway, collided with roadside stones, and ended up in a ravine. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
Rescuers managed to pull the car back onto the roadway.
