How to Celebrate 'Citizen's Day': Nikol Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, announced on his Facebook page:
“Today, the government approved a draft law proposing to celebrate the last Saturday of April as Citizen’s Day, in commemoration of the peaceful Velvet Revolution that took place in Armenia in April-May 2018.
This day should not only be a victory for the new government but for the people and democracy as well. It should truly become a popular holiday, akin to the very essence of the revolution itself.
How this day should be celebrated is something that I believe should also be determined through public and online discussions.”
