Edward Aghajanyan's Family Acts Contrary to the Prime Minister's Statements: 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'The "Zigzag" company owned by Edward Aghajanyan, the head of the RA Government Staff, is essentially failing to comply with the Prime Minister's directive regarding the issuance of receipts. The State Revenue Committee's directorate for large and medium taxpayers fined "Zigzag" yesterday, March 19, for not issuing receipts and decided to suspend its activities for five days, from April 4 to April 8. By the way, "Zigzag" can avoid closure by paying a certain fine.

Conspiracy theory enthusiasts may see this as a manifestation of opposition from the head of the SRC, but we believe it is unnecessary to go that far—simply put, the SRC is trying to adhere to the Prime Minister's directives and expose those who hide actual income. It is simply strange that "Zigzag," which is among the major taxpayers and directly connected to a member of the government’s family, appears on this list.

Interestingly, in December, Edward Aghajanyan wrote on his Facebook page: 'This is already the umpteenth time that the "Nour" fruit and vegetable store chain has failed to issue receipts. When you request a receipt, they reluctantly hand it to you with a dissatisfied look. I urge the RA State Revenue Committee to conduct checks in this chain.' This post prompted the SRC to enter the small fruit and vegetable shop and write a formal act, which resulted in the shop paying a fine of 300,000 drams. Therefore, it seems we need to ask Aghajanyan to occasionally shop at their own store and demonstrate his insistence not only towards other small shops but also towards their own major taxpayer shop.'
