VIDEO: Suren Papikyan on Property Deeds Found in Manvel Grigoryan's Territories

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, addressed illegal auctions and the privatization of lands during a press conference today. He stated, "Unfortunately, it has been a longstanding tradition in Armenia, over the years and decades, for officials to consider it their duty to initiate the process of privatizing freely available lands, commonly referred to as 'taking a share.'"

Commenting on the territories belonging to Manvel Grigoryan, the minister noted, "Since the Special Investigative Service has conducted research on the areas that are 'owned' by Manvel Grigoryan; according to the information provided to us, without even going into the investigation, we can conclude that based on the relevant testimonies, there is a preliminary conclusion that these auctions took place irregularly, not competitively."
