Updated: Black Ice and Fog. Current Conditions on the Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of March 20 at 20:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for others.

The Sotk-Karabakh road is also difficult to navigate.

On the Goris-Kapan road, there are spots of black ice and fog.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanmetsinda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Ongoing

Construction work is being carried out on the segment of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from the 39th km to Bagratashen.

Alternative transport routes have been established for intra-community traffic towards Alaverdi, Vanadzor cities, and nearby settlements:

1. Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehats-Odzun-Alaverdi via the road segments leading to the Georgian border.
