Updated: Vardenyats Pass Closed for Trucks with Trailers

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 19 at 22:00, there are closed and difficult to traverse roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, while it is difficult to traverse for other vehicles.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable for trucks with trailers.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

Regarding Lars

According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for passenger vehicles.

Construction Works Underway

Construction works are ongoing on the segment from the 39th km of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road to Bagratashen.

The following alternative routes for transportation have been established:

To ensure the movement of vehicles towards the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby settlements:

1. Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi via the road segments leading to the Georgia border.
