During the RA Republican Party's Era, the Head of the Civil Aviation Committee Awarded Himself 2 Million Drams – ‘Zhoghovurd’
'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports: 'The findings revealed by the audit conducted by the Court of Accounts in the Republic of Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee are simply astounding. These revelations pertain to the years of the Republican Party's governance, specifically during the tenure of Sergey Avetisyan as the head of the committee under Karen Karapetyan's government.
The Court of Accounts has determined that in 2017, the head of the Civil Aviation Committee, Sergey Avetisyan, awarded himself an amount of 2 million 683 thousand drams, whereas awarding such amounts is strictly within the prerogative of the Prime Minister of Armenia. Over the course of 2017, Avetisyan awarded himself a total of 5 million 371 thousand drams.
It is noteworthy that just months ago, there was a wave of criticism regarding the bonuses received by representatives of Pashinyan’s government, while representatives of the previous regime, more liberally, awarded themselves. This occurred despite the fact that the former head of the Civil Aviation Committee, Sergey Avetisyan, declared 85 million drams and 70 thousand dollars upon his departure from office.
