Who Owns the Cafes in the Opera Area?
The representative of the "Jazzve" café has requested time to relocate their property, after which they may dismantle the café themselves, said Viktor Mnatsakanyan, the head of the Central Administrative District of Yerevan, during a press conference today. He commented on the cafés in the vicinity of the Opera Theatre that are subject to dismantling, noting that work has already begun to dismantle "Jazzve."
According to reports from Armenian Time, this café is linked to Mikael Minasian, the son-in-law of former President Serzh Sargsyan and former ambassador to the Vatican.
The news outlet further states that the area occupied by the "Rich" café’s playground was vacated the day before. This café is associated with former MP Samvel Aleksanyan, and during this period, it has been regularly claimed that his café is being overlooked.
Today, the "Atlantic" café, which is connected to former NSS director Karlen Petrosyan, has been dismantled.
Legal cases against "Montali" and "Shokoladnitsa" are currently in court. The initiative has been taken by the city hall. It is worth noting that "Shokoladnitsa" is linked to prominent members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation.
