Next Action in the National Assembly with the Participation of the Chief Prosecutor

According to the newspaper "Hraparak", another "action" is expected in the National Assembly soon. Under the law, the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia is required to present his annual report to the parliament. When will the prosecutor's report be presented? We asked Anna Karapetyan, Deputy Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee. "The annual report must be submitted by the prosecutor before April 1. There is still quite a bit of time. At this point, I can say that it has not yet been submitted to the NA," she stated.

Moreover, according to our information, on March 19, the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, Artur Davtyan, will "host" a meeting at the NA Human Rights Committee. MPs are preparing for this meeting with great caution. "A lot of questions have accumulated, starting from Kocharyan, Mayrapetyan, Manvel Grigoryan, to issues related to the army and the generals," they said from the NA. Is it possible that this is being done to release the pressure and 'clean up' the expected noise from the prosecutor's report? "Absolutely. The questions have indeed accumulated, and they require answers." And is it also possible this is preparation for a change in the prosecutor? "No, of course not."
