President Signs Law on Citizens Avoiding Military Service
The President of the Republic, Armen Sarkissian, has signed the law amending the "Law on Citizens Who Avoid Mandatory Military Service in Violation of Established Procedure" of the Republic of Armenia.
This information is reported on the official website of the President of Armenia.
It is worth recalling that this law provides an opportunity for citizens who have turned 27 and avoided mandatory military service to pay a fee in accordance with the rates stipulated by law within a specified period and, upon returning to their homeland, be exempted from criminal prosecution.
