One Armenian Specialist Injured by Landmine Explosion in Syria
One of the specialists sent from Armenia to Syria has sustained an injury to his right foot due to a landmine explosion. This was reported by the Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Center.
“During a humanitarian mission in Syria today, on March 7, a landmine incident occurred, resulting in one of the demining specialists from the Armenian team suffering an injury to his right foot. The cause of the incident was a booby trap mine made of plastic. The injured deminer has been urgently transported to the hospital and has undergone surgery. His life is not in danger. Demining operations continue,” states the message released by the Center.
