20-Year-Old Girl Detained with a Makarov-Type Pistol

On March 6, at 15:50, officers from the Mush Division of the Police's Patrol Service detained a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of illegally carrying and possessing a weapon in front of house number 4 on P. Sevak Street. This information was obtained from the official website of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

During a search, an object resembling a Makarov-type pistol was found in the left rear part of her waistband, with a magazine loaded with copper-colored pellets.

The woman stated that the weapon belonged to her father, who is currently outside the Republic of Armenia. She also claimed that she had kept the pistol with her for protection without informing her parents.

Further circumstances are being investigated. Forensic examination has been appointed. An investigation is ongoing.
