Major Car Accident in Yerevan: Fire Erupts in BMW After Collision

On March 5, a major car accident followed by a fire occurred in Yerevan. Around 22:20, on M. Khorenatsi Street, in front of the 'Rossia Mall', two vehicles collided: an Opel Astra G driven by 48-year-old Arthur Arakelyan, which had no license plates, and a BMW 320 driven by 21-year-old Arthur Khachatryan, with license plate number 65 TT 505.

According to Shamshyan.com, a fire broke out in the BMW as a result of the collision, prompting the arrival of Fire and Rescue Squad No. 3 with one operational unit. The firefighters, aided by citizens, managed to extinguish the fire in the BMW.

Fortunately, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries reported. Officers from the Yerevan Traffic Police also arrived at the scene. The engine compartment of the BMW was partially burned. Traffic police are preparing materials regarding the incident.
