Closed and Impassable Roads Exist

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of March 6 at 12:00, there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable for heavy vehicles.

On the intercommunity roads of the Aragatsotn region, there is black ice in places.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Underway

Construction works are being carried out on the section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from km 39 to Bagratashen.

The following alternative routes for traffic have been established:

For local traffic towards the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby settlements:

1. Vanadzor-Stepantsminda-Agarak-Koghes-Aigahat-Odzun-Alaverdi via the sections leading to the border with Georgia.

From June 30, 2018, until March 6 of this year, construction work is being carried out at km 139 of the Yerevan-Meghri road, resulting in a section of nearly 200 meters being closed to one-way traffic.
