I Haven't Sat and Thought About Who is a 'Spy', I Have Important Matters to Attend to - Zohrapyan

The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) MP Naira Zohrapyan has denied media reports claiming that the party leader Gagik Tsarukyan has held meetings with Robert Kocharyan's son and LHK faction MP Arman Babajanyan.

“Of course, he hasn’t met,” she stated, adding, “In journalism, the genre of Kikosi's death is increasingly becoming a fundamental genre, but the information simply does not correspond to reality, and that's it.”

Zohrapyan also expressed concern over news regarding the upcoming layoff of 10,000 state employees.

“Tomorrow, during the Q&A session with the government, this issue must definitely be raised. It was also concerning for me how the phrasing suggested that the reduction of 10,000 would serve and contribute to the state’s interests. Perhaps the honorable ministers and the deputy prime minister have their explanations for the direct connection between Armenia's interests and unemployment,” she said.

When journalists asked Zohrapyan if she was aware of who Prime Minister Pashinyan was talking about during his meeting with the Armenian community in Iran, when he stated that Armenian political figures resemble foreign agents more, the MP responded:

“I have so many important matters to deal with that I haven't sat and thought about who is a ‘spy.’ That's not within my responsibilities.”
