Russian Citizen Accuses Filipino of House Theft in Yerevan; Released Due to Lack of Translator

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the Central Police Department of Yerevan is preparing materials regarding a personal property theft incident that occurred on March 1st. At around 16:00, a citizen of the Russian Federation, Olesya Melnikova, a resident of Sayat-Nova Avenue, reported to the police that on the same day, between 12:20 and 15:10, an unknown individual opened her apartment door using a modified key and stole 10,000 rubles and a piece of jewelry.

The applicant informed the police that she suspected a certain Jeff, who was renting an apartment in the building. Officers from the criminal investigation department of the Central Police quickly identified that Jeff is Jeff Beltran, a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines. On the same day, at 20:30, both he and his friend, Merilyn Aphroda, also a citizen of the Philippines, were presented to the Central Police Department.

According to G. Shamshyan's sources, the investigator was unable to take statements from the Filipinos due to the absence of a translator, after which they were released.
