Gagik Khachatryan and His Bodyguard Detained by Police

In Yerevan, police have detained former head of the State Revenue Committee, Gagik Khachatryan, along with his bodyguard. The reason for the detention was that Khachatryan was traveling with a convoy of bodyguard vehicles.

To verify this information obtained by Factor.am, we contacted the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, where our information was not denied.

Department Head Ashot Aharonyan responded to a reporter's inquiry, stating, “The police always carry out operations related to bodyguards.” In response to Factor.am’s clarifying question about whether an “asphalt operation” had specifically been carried out against Gagik Khachatryan and his bodyguard today, Aharonyan replied, “I have already answered your question.”
