Azerbaijanis Angered and Burned the Armenian Flag: Nikol Pashinyan Received Warm Welcome in Iran

The warm welcome extended to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran has angered Azerbaijanis living in the country. They were particularly upset by a banner that read “Karabakh belongs to Armenia and that’s it,” which was displayed in the gym of the "Ararat" Armenian club during Pashinyan's meeting with the Armenian community in Iran, as reported by Minval.az referring to Gunaz TV.

According to reports from the AM newspaper, Azerbaijani users on social media not only criticized the Iranian authorities for inviting the Armenian Prime Minister to Iran, coinciding with the anniversary of the Khojaly massacre, but also accused them of supporting the so-called "occupation of Azerbaijani lands."

Furthermore, during a match at the Tabriz stadium, Azerbaijani fans of the local football team Tractor Sazi chanted slogans regarding the ownership of Artsakh and even burned the Armenian flag throughout the game.
