VIDEO: Russian Ship Crashes into Bridge Due to Drunken Captain
A Russian cargo ship has veered off course and crashed into a bridge in South Korea's second-largest city, Busan.
According to Daily Mail, the incident reportedly occurred due to a drunken captain, whose blood alcohol content was found to be several times above the legal limit. As a result, the 6,000-ton cargo ship collided with the heavily trafficked Gwangan Bridge, which cost authorities billions of dollars to construct.
Following the collision, the ship attempted to flee the scene but was intercepted by the Korean Coast Guard.
It is noted that just 40 minutes prior to this incident, the Russian ship had collided with another cruise vessel.
