Snowfalls Across Several Roads in Armenia: Ministry of Emergency Situations
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 27 at 20:00, there are closed and difficult passages on the roads in Armenia. The Vardenyats Pass is closed. The Sotk-Karabakh road is closed for trucks with trailers, while it remains difficult for passenger vehicles.
Snow is falling in Shirak (except for the Ani region), Lori, Kotayk, and Gegharkunik (except for the town of Vardenis) provinces, as well as in the cities of Ashtarak and Aparan in Aragatsotn province, and in Goris city in Syunik province. In some areas of the Aragats region in Aragatsotn, there is also black ice.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
Regarding Lars:
According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
