Snowfall in 5 Regions, Difficult Road Conditions Reported

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 08:00 today, there are difficult road conditions in various parts of Armenia.

The sections of Saravan-Zanger in Vayots Dzor, the Vardenyats Pass, and the area known as "Meghri Sar" are impassable due to blizzard conditions.

The mountainous roads of Spitak and the Sotk-Karvachar highway are difficult only for heavy vehicles due to ice.

Snowfall has been reported in Lori, Vayots Dzor, Kotayk, Dilijan in Tavush, Ashtarak and Aparan in Aragatsotn, Sevan, Gavar, Martuni in Gegharkunik, and the cities of Goris in Syunik, as well as in areas referred to as "Sisian’s Zanger" and "Meghri Sar".

On the Yerevan-Sevan road, between kilometers 25 and 30, there are patches of black ice.

According to information from Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Additionally, information from the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in North Ossetia indicates that there are accumulated vehicles on the Russian side.
