Roads Closed and Inaccessible: Updated

As of February 27, at 16:50, there are closed and difficult-to-traverse roads in the territory of Armenia, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations press service.

The Vardenyats Pass and the Sotk-Karvachar road are closed for trucks with trailers, while they are difficult to navigate for passenger vehicles.

Snow is falling in the regions of Kotayk, Vayots Dzor (except for the cities of Yeghegnadzor and Jermuk), Gegharkunik (except for the city of Vardenis), and in the cities of Artashat, Aparan in Aragatsotn province, and Goris in Syunik province.

In the Aragats region of Aragatsotn province, there are patches of black ice. Drivers are advised to drive exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles. According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of North Ossetia, there are stacked vehicles on the Russian side.
